The “Zero Tolerance” policy is not the answer. There should be punishment in schools but each act should be looked at as a single entity. Schools are a place for learning and a place for molding a person’s character. If we treat every criminal act equally then what is that teaching the young minds of our time? Even in society we have different punishments based on the extent of the criminal act. Schools are supposed to be getting students ready for the real world, not for treating every instance equally.
